ABOUT SAMANTHA
Samantha Simpson-Katz is a New York City–based photographer and Photography and Related Media student at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She began taking photographs during her earlier career as an ICU nurse, using travel and nature photography as a creative outlet before it evolved into a focused artistic practice. Her work centers on conceptual and abstract image-making, emphasizing composition, narrative, and surreal imagery. Working across both controlled and natural environments, she aims to balance technical precision with imaginative expression, creating immersive images that invite interpretation.
